Non-Woven abrasive is a unique sanding abrasive. The wear characteristics of non-woven abrasives are different from coated abrasives. This is due to the 3D structure of non-woven abrasives compared to the flat structure of coated abrasives. The sanding gain, normally aluminum oxide and silicon carbide, are particle held by helical a web of nylon fibers throughout nonwoven structure. As the product wears away, the substrate breaks down and the grain is lost which reveals a new sharp grain. This process leads to uniform finishing, a consistent finish that is desired in many industries. A smooth refined finish, and are excellent for removing coarse grind lines, mill marks or small burrs left by cutting tools or conventional abrasives.
Non-woven (Scotch Brite) abrasive products sometimes called Satin Web are commonly used for deburring of wood, paint, lacquers, brass, copper and steel. Suitable for stainless products, excellent for satinising of aluminium. Available in grades of Aluminium Oxide 'A' for most materials and black Silican Carbide 'S' for stainless and titanium.
Non-Woven abrasive belts, have the basic nonwoven structure but are scrim reinforced and are one sided. The scrim adds strength for use in high speed belt. It is use to surface grinding, angel grinding, also it reducing heat buildup in the work piece and giving a very consistent finish and consistent finish. This cold cutting will not burned the metal surface.
Very-fine: Grey; Silicon Carbide abrasive for cleaning and finishing.
Fine:Tan; Aluminum Oxide abrasive for removing buildup of rust or corrosion.
Medium:Maroon; Aluminum Oxide abrasive for heavy duty cleaning or fast action finishing.
Coarse:Brown; Aluminum Oxide abrasive for stainless steel, aluminum and for stripping.
Applications:
Belt sander machine; Removing surface defects; Removing light edge burrs, parting lines or flashing; Removing rust, oxides, corrosion, paints and scale; Cleaning molds; Blending mill marks, tool marks, uneven edges and coated abrasive finish.
The coating resins will be very important for the final quality of abrasives, Ruico have formulated resins is applying to 2 kinds of production ways.
One is dipping coating our resins, then press roller, dry, dipping coating phenolic resin, flocking grains, final dry. The counter items as below:
